What Makes a Villian?
It doesn't matter how seemingly nice someone is, if behind the scenes they're up to no good, they're probably a villian. The Villians of batman make it blaringly obvious that they're a villian, from elaborate schemes, to unique outfits and powers.
Normally in the Batman-verse, if someone stands out, they're a villian.
It's impossible to be too careful with these types of people.
Why are they Villians?
Normally a villian does what he or she does because of one or all of the following reasons:
1. He/She has a personal hate for something, and publicly expresses this. 2. A personal grudge against someone, for reasons known or unknown. 3. He/She had a bad past, or was brought up wrong, or was just never taught how to play nicely with others. 4. Extensitve mental or emotional damage/problems. 5. Psycological illness [Kleptomania, Sadism, Masochism] 6. They are just an evil person 7. Obsession 8. Trying to impress someone 9. Want to make a name for themselves
Can I be related in any way to a villian?
An OC CAN have a relationship to a villian IF said spot isn't already filled by someone, and you have permission to make your character be this way by the player of said villian.
Note- not ALL relatives to villians are also villians, infact most of them don't know the villian they're related to is a villian, that or they frown heavily upon it.
More to come soon

What is it with Villians and Lairs?
it makes them feel special
It allows them to have a place that secludes them from the world. A villians lair is their home, their sanctuary, and an area to plot in secret. An evil eden if you will.
Not ALL villians have enough funds for a high tech lair, so they stick to abandoned locations, or residential areas, working secretly in their basements or attics.

What is a Coverup?
A Coverup is a clever way for Villians to go unnoticed in socity. Villians with cover ups have two sides to them, with a normal person and a villianous alter ego mixed in somewhere in the middle.
Normally they get jobs that wouldn't put them in a place of suspicion, for example- a newsstand or a video store.
Can Coverups be broken?
Yes, in fact many times villians will accidentally slip up at their jobs, and their boss will find out. This of course means no more mild mannered person, and no more job. Most of the time anyways....
Can they spy on others Villians using Coverups?
As a matter of fact, yes they can. Many do it to avoid suspicion by the public. Others will never reveal their true names, and will somehow manage to spy on other villians for awhile, while avoiding the suspicion that they were ever another villian.
